HeavyWeights Raises Over $3000 For Muscular Dystrophy in Annual Fire Truck Pull

At Heavyweights, we LOVE raising money and helping local charities. It’s one of the things that sets us apart. Today, was a PROUD day for us, as we took part in the 3rd Annual Fire Truck Pull for Muscular Dystrophy, organized by the St. John’s Regional Fire Department. This year, our teams raised $3200, bringing our grand total to an AMAZING $13,000! In true Heavyweights style, nothing seemed like more fun than pulling a 35,000lb fire truck with some of our closest friends during a damp, cold and windy day, using nothing more than our brute strength. This year our teams were strong and we’re extra proud to announce our Heavyweights Men’s Staff Team finally got to bring home the Champions Trophy. Not to go unmentioned, but it was Heavyweights teams that were also recognized as the #2 and #3 Top Fundraisers for the entire event! We extend a big CONGRATS to the STRFD for organizing another fantastic event this year. They have done such an outstanding job doing great things for great causes, and we feel privileged to be part of it all! We spend a lot of our time talking about how we transform lives through strength building and weight loss, how we dominate podiums with dedication and focus, or how we stand apart from the crowd with our sense of community. These are all things we are very proud of. However, it’s also days like today when we get the chance to give something back that really matter to us!! We thank all of our HW Family for taking time to fundraiser and be part of today’s fun. We’re already looking towards next year! MD_FireTruckPull2015
